OM44
October 24, 2023
Beirut, Metro Al-Madina
Bringing together some of the most creative musicians in the country, OM44 is a one of a kind initiative to create a permanent independent Orchestra on the Lebanese music scene.
Lebanon will always strike visitors as a country of mixed identities, mixed cultures, mixed languages, etc… and the same goes for music: instead of having a clear specificity, Lebanon distinguishes itself by a plurality of styles and genres with some outstanding elements in each of them, from traditional music to electronic, from rock to experimental. The aim of the Beirut Creative Music Orchestra is to bring some of the best elements of all of these scenes to work together on an ambitious program with a strong focus on contemporaneity and innovation.
